Gone Girl by Gillian Finn

What a story!

I am glad I read it.

On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy’s diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure …

My views

The book starts with Nick and Amy’s ending relationship.
Nick is an ordinary yet cruel husband and Amy is a brilliant and beautiful blonde.
They initally loved each other but when unemployment and money is concerned, they has certain differences.
On the day of their fifth anniversary, Amy goes missing.
The world suspects Nick to be Amy’s Murdered.
But the book has a totally different twist to tell.
Did Nick murdered Amy?
A well thought off story, with strong and dark characters, the intruging pyschotic thriller has sharp and intelligent protagonist.
The author has a dead drop gorgeous mind, writing a plot with so many twists and being a number one nail biter.

Finn, actually played with the reader’s mind with her brilliant narration..
